Product Description
The Latin name for Cinnamon Leaf is Cinnamonum zeylanicum and it has a warm, spicy scent. It has been used for thousands of years for a variety of complaints including chills, colds, flu, digestive and menstrual problems, tooth and gum care. Also perfect for making soaps, candles, incense and scenting potpourri's. Cinnamon leaf essential oil that is distilled from the bark, leaves and twigs is relatively non-toxic. However, Cinnamon essential oil that is extracted exclusively from the bark is not used in aromatherapy. It is an irritant to mucous membranes and a dermal toxin (skin). Blends well with these essential oilsl: ylang ylang, jasmine, sandalwood, lime, ginger, clove, eucalyptus, pine, tea tree, lavender, rosemary and thyme.
