CardioTabs Omega-3 were developed by preventive cardiologist. A highly concentrated and purified source of DHA and EPA in a smaller softgel.
Product Description In a landmark scientific study called the GISSI Prevention trial, 11,300 Italian heart attack survivors were followed for a period of three and one-half years. Those who received a daily one-gram supplement of purified fish oil experienced a 21 percent reduction in death, and an astounding 45 percent reduction in sudden death from dangerous heart rhythms. CardioTabs Omega-3 supplements were designed to provide similar amounts of omega-3 fats (DHA and EPA) as those used in the GISSI study, but in a highly concentrated form. DHA is an omega-3 fat that appears to be especially important in promoting optimal cardiovascular health. CardioTabs Omega-3 is 43 percent DHA and 16 percent EPA. Each serving contains over four times as much DHA and EPA (650 mg) as in 1000 mg of salmon oil (150 mg). Purified fish oil is the best way to be assured of getting adequate amounts of omega-3 without worrying about toxic contaminants. CardioTabs Omega-3 undergoes a highly complex purification process that produces a marine Omega-3 fish oil that is free of PCBs, heavy metals and other man-made pollutants. The result is a smaller pill that provides a predictable dose of highly beneficial DHA and EPA fish oils. Ingredients Per serving of 2 softgels: Fish oil, 1.1 g: Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA), 470 mg; and Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) 180 mg Directions Take 2 or 3 softgels daily.
