Aroma:Minty. Peppermint is commonly known from peppermint tea, chewing gum or candy, but the Essential Oil is much more strong and concentrated and should be used in moderation. Very fresh and clean smelling. The conventionally grown Peppermint is a bit more harsh and camphorous than the organic Peppermint oil. Aromatherapy Properties:Refreshing, mental stimulant, energizing. History:Used in both Western and Eastern Medicine since over 3,000 years for many different uses. Perfumery Note:Top. Blends well with: Eucalyptus, Lavender, Marjoram, Citrus oils.
Safety Information No known toxicity. Approved by the FDA as food flavor. Avoid high concentrations in skin care, since it can cause a burning sensation. Use 1-2 drops max. per 1 oz. of body care. Do not use while taking homeopathic remedies. Keep away from children. Dilute for use on skin. If you are pregnant or have medical problems, consult a doctor. Only use the gentlest oils at low doses with children. Skin patch test recommended. For external use only. Peppermint is an approved food additive and great for desserts, syrups, joghurt dishes etc. Use very sparingly and measure the drops first before adding them to the dish.
