Aroma:Warm, fresh citrus scent, radiant, fruity and tangy. This oil smells just like Mandarin Orange, an aroma that is reminiscent, yet lighter than Orange. However, Tangerine is more candy-like and energetic. Aromatherapy Properties:Refreshing and rejuvenating. Its aroma inspires and brings fresh energy, clears the mind. Citrus oils to eliminate emotional confusion and increase ones sense of humor and well-being. Very comforting/soothing and warming. In moderation, Tangerine is an effective skin care ingredient, but avoid large concentrations due to phototoxic reactions. Use very sparingly in the kitchen. Citrus Essential Oils are among the few Essential Oils with a limited shelf life. Keep your citrus oils away from heat and direct sunlight and in tightly closed containers, ideally in the fridge. Try using them in 6 months after purchase. Older oils may not be appropriate for medicinal or skincare purposes, but can still add citrus-power to a diffuser blend. History:Sometimes Tangerine is listed as a synonym for Mandarin Orange. The aromas however are distinctly different, with Tangerine being more candy-like and temperamental. As a fruit, Tangerine is larger than Mandarin Orange and rounder, with a more yellow skin. Squirting the Essential Oil from the peel into a candle flame is a nice activity that fascinates children, and those young at heart. Perfumery Note:Middle/top. Blends well with: Citrus Essential Oils blend well with a lot of different oils, lifting a blend to make it appear more energetic and lively. Lavender, Neroli, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Geranium, Fennel, Tea Tree, resinous Essential Oils and many others.
Safety Information No known toxicity. GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) approved by the FDA as food flavor. Avoid high concentration in skin care, phototoxic effect possible. Keep away from children.
